Silk Eyeglass Case Japanese Chirimen Kimono Silk Glasses Pouch Kiss Lock Case with Wristlet Four Season

I got the fabric in Kyoto at Toji Temple. It is chirimen silk, with afour season motif pattern with sakura, autumn leaves, chrysanthemum, matsu and matsuba-hishi made from a kimono (I actually didn't take this apart; I picked it up at a shop where I was learning making techniques in Kyoto from a kimono the instructor had taken apart). I lined it with a gold colored lining from a kimono, also silk. That fabric was hand dyed so the color is not consistent throughout, which added to it's charm. I love the softness and luster to it and it is a slub fabric. I used a batting inside so it holds it's shape but is soft. Silk is great for eyeglass cases as it cleans them! The silver kiss-lock closure is hand sewn on with a cream pearle. The wristlet strap and charm are removable. The charm is a handmade tassel with wooden beads. It measures 3.5" x 6.5" (to the top, about 1" less for the bag portion). My shop has lots of other purses both made in Japan and made by me, so check it out if you are interested!
