Silk Eyeglass Case Vintage Japanese Purple Rinzu Kimono Silk Glasses Pouch Kiss Lock Case with Wristlet

I got this fabric in Osaka at Shitennoji Temple. It is silk, in a gorgeous antique violet color in rinzu silk with a floral and geometric color on color pattern, made from a kimono (this particular cut was the front left). I lined it with a gold colored lining from a kimono, also silk. That fabric was hand dyed so the color is not consistent throughout, which added to it's charm. I love the softness and luster to it and it is a slub fabric. I used a batting inside so it holds it's shape but is soft. Silk is great for eyeglass cases as it cleans them! The silver kiss-lock closure is hand sewn on with a cream pearle. The wristlet strap and charm are removable. The charm is a handmade tassel with glass pearnls and a ceramic floral bead. It measures 3.5" x 6.5" (to the top, about 1" less for the bag portion). My shop has lots of other purses both made in Japan and made by me, so check it out if you are interested!
