Denim Shoulder Crossbody Bag Purse, Japanese Kimono Silk Buttons Sakura

This bag is part of a series of items we are creating as part of our commitment to zero waste and to test out new ideas. The light wash denim bag is accented with fabric covered buttons that I covered using a tool I bought in Japan. The fabric used for the buttons is small designs from left over fabric from some of my bag and eyeglass case designs and is a rinzu color on color patterned silk kimono (actually a nagajuban, which is really special!) I bought in Kyoto. The center is a gold button in the shape of a rose. The purse is about 6.5" x 10.5" x 2" on the bottom and has a snap on the flap, zipper underneath and a pocket on the inside and an adjustable strap so it can be made shorter or longer for a cross body bag.
