Red Silk Kinchaku Bag Upcycled Japanese Nagajuban Drawstring Crossbody Purse Slouch Pouch

I love this style and it matches my goal, an everyday luxury bag. The outside is a red rinzu floral patterned silk from a nagajuban I purchased in Kyoto. The silk is backed with a heavy weight interfacing to give the purse more body on the outside. It also has a fleece interfacing making the whole bag soft and plush. It has a boxed bottom and is lined in white satin. I didn't want any stitches showing on the satin so I added a hidden pocket inside outer and inner fabrics in the bag for the drawstring. It has a champagne colored drawstring with wood beads and a removable strap in gold chain. I also added a purse charm of a gold tassel with a kitsune charm. The purse is about 9.5" across, 9" high, and the base is 3.5". It is much larger than most kinchaku bags and I wanted it to be practical, which is why I added the strap. The primary goal of our shop is to rescue these beautiful vintage Japanese fabrics and give them a new life. We hope you enjoy these fabrics as much as we do!
