Indigo Blue Geometric Kasuri Pattern Clutch, Japanese Koshi Lattice Cotton Purse, Crossbody Chain Bag

I love the look of this purse, a sort of everyday elegance. It measures 8" x 5" and opens about 3", surprisingly spacious for it's style. I got the fabric in Kyoto at Toji Temple Market. It is cotton and and mimics a hand dyed fabric (although I don't think it is). The vendor had already made a knot bag from it and said it had come from a haori. I used a very heavy interfacing so it holds it's unique shape. My husband had the idea for this bag style and I love how it came together- it is completely unique- all his own design! It uses a bar closure on the top and is lined in navy with a pocket inside that matches the exterior fabric. I added a heavy weight interfacing to the inside of the pocket and sides (to make them dart inward). The strap and purse charm are removable.
