8 pc Hakoseko Set Japanese Boxed Shichi-Go-San Obijime Fan Kanzashi Kaiken

This is a hakoseko set for a Shichi-Go-San that includes the hakoseko, obijime, fan, kanzashi pouch, Bira-Bira kanzashi, omamori pouch, large pink hair decoration and a kaiken. The pattern is a red and gold geometric design. The set is in excellent vintage condition. The obijime is 48" long. The fan has a pink crane pattern with a gold crane design on the sides and a 2 kazari-fusa (fancy tassels with mizuhiki style knots). The kaiken has a similar tassel and mizuhiki style knots. The hakoseko has a small pouch attached and there is a mirror inside. The kanzashi has 4 bira-bira with a crane and chrysanthemum design. It shows some age but is in good condition. There is a small omamori pouch with two white tassels attached and a cord to hang it with. The tassels have some discoloration. The pink hair bow is large (about 4" across) and is in excellent condition. It has a small bell and other flowers on it and a bobby pin on the bottom. It's very cute. I have seen girls wearing sets like this at Kasuga Taisha in Nara. This set also has a small display card for the Shichi-Go-San celebration. The back of the card has information on the historical and cultural aspects of the Shichi-Go-San celebration. The box has some wear on the corners and edges. I purchased this in Kyoto at a shop on Sango Shopping Street, a new find for me, while waiting for the plum light up festival at Kitano Tenmangu shrine (and then had to store my bag of purchases!). I brought back lots of items from Japan on my last trip (two checked bags each x 3 people... it was something) and I have lots more kimonos, kanzashi, obis, and purses/bags that I'll be listing as I get to them.
