Gold Orange Ichimatsu Japanese Nagoya Obi Silk Formal Wedding

This design has so much going on with it- it is a ichimatsu checkered design of kinhaku style of adding gold leaf to make the design. It also has a pattern of kiku (chrysanthemum) and botan (peonies) which symbolize royalty and feminine beauty. It is shimmery and as a nagoya obi it is easy to wear and tie. I love this color and pattern as it is so different from any other I've ever seen. The kimono is listed separately. I purchased this in Kyoto at Toji Temple from one of my favorite sellers because he has a good eye for selling kimonos that are in great condition (and he knows what I love and sometimes sets it aside). I often buy kimonos for the fabric and make it into something else but this is just in too good of condition. It would also make a great table runner or wall hanging. I brought back lots of items from Japan on my last trip (two checked bags each x 3 people... it was something) and I have lots more kimonos, kanzashi, obis and purses/bags that I'll be listing as I get to them.
