Black Japanese Nagoya Obi Silk Tonal Hanabishi

This fabric is shimmery but tonal- black on black with a hanabishi, floral design. It is a Nagoya obi (pre-folded and narrow on the one end) and the fabric is very stiff so great for beginners learning to tie an obi. The fabric on this is very pretty and the tonal design is unique. The kimono is listed separately. I purchased this in Kyoto at Toji Temple from one of my favorite sellers because he has a good eye for selling kimonos that are in great condition (and he knows what I love and sometimes sets it aside). I often buy kimonos for the fabric and make it into something else but this is just in too good of condition. It would also make a great table runner or wall hanging. I brought back lots of items from Japan on my last trip (two checked bags each x 3 people... it was something) and I have lots more kimonos, kanzashi, obis and purses/bags that I'll be listing as I get to them.
