Rinzu Silk Women's Kimono from Japan Green Pattern

The fabric on this is so luxurious. It is a heavy soft silk, it looks like new and has almost three patterns. There is a sort of "tortoiseshell" pattern as the base, typical for rinzu silk, with a leaf pattern and then the colored pattern. The lining is a really luxurious silk as well, most in white, and the bottom portion (hakkake) is lined in an emerald green. It is about 24" from one underarm to the other in the back and about 60" long. Lots and lots of fabric. :) It is in excellent condition. This pattern would look great in fall- my favorite season when the maple leaves change and the ginkos are all such a bright yellow! It is a bit shiny, almost metallic looking but so soft. The obi is listed seperately. I bought it at Toji Temple in Kyoto from one of my favorite sellers because he has a good eye for selling kimonos that are in great condition (and he knows what I love and sometimes sets it aside). I often buy kimonos for the fabric and make it into something else but this is just in too good of condition. I brought back lots of items from Japan on my last trip (two checked bags each x 3 people... it was something) and I have lots more kimonos, kanzashi, obis and purses/bags that I'll be listing as I get to them.
