Burgundy Sparkly Women's Yukata Hitoe Kimono from Japan

This is a unique fabric and print. I think it is tsumugi silk with a same color pattern and a sparkly pattern as well. It is lightweight and easy to wear and it doesn't seem to wrinkle (ever after being in my suitcase). I love this color and the sparkle. The edges has a bright pink silk lining, making it a hitoe and not a true kimono. Meant for spring or fall wear. It's lovely and in great condition. I bought it at Toji Temple in Kyoto from one of my favorite sellers because he has a good eye for selling kimonos that are in great condition (and he knows what I love and sometimes sets it aside). I often buy kimonos for the fabric and make it into something else but this is just in too good of condition. I also like that it isn't see through at all, and is actually rather sturdy compared to many other yukata I have seen. I assume it's more like a hitoe and meant to be worn in a transition season. The measurements are 25" flat between the sleeves in the back and about 59" long. Yukata are pretty forgiving on size because it's up to how you wrap them but this one is a bit larger than many others that I have. I brought back lots of items from Japan on my last trip (two checked bags each for free x 3 people... it was something) and I have lots more kimonos, kanzashi, obis, and purses/bags that I'llbe listing as I get to them.
