Navy Blue Striped Tsumugi Silk Women's Kimono from Japan

This is a very interesting fabric- warm, feels handwoven, nice for winter or fall. The stripes match the hakkake lining. The inside is lined in white (super clean with one darker spot) and the bottom portion (hakkake) is lined in a an antique violet. It is about 22.5" from one underarm to the other in the back and about 62" long (so much fabric!). It is vintage but in like new condition. The color is not quite as dark as the photo shows (or as light as the close up- a true navy blue, difficult to catch in photos). The obi is listed separately. I purchased this in Kyoto at Toji Temple from one of my favorite sellers because he has a good eye for selling kimonos that are in great condition (and he knows what I love and sometimes sets it aside). I often buy kimonos for the fabric and make it into something else but this is just in too good of condition. I brought back lots of items from Japan on my last trip (two checked bags each x 3 people... it was something) and I have lots more kimonos, kanzashi, obis and purses/bags that I'll be listing as I get to them.
