Japanese Indigo Floral Cotton & Red Chirimen Silk Envelope Wallet Pouch, Vintage Kyoto Fabric

This wallet is made from kimono fabric and is vintage but unused. The fabric is new also, made from left over fabric from kimono creation. This wallet has a novel clip closure. I think the outside fabric is a woven indigo cotton, the red outside portion is chirimen silk and It is lined in red. It measures 7" x 5" closed. When last in Kyoto a shop was closing not too far from Nishiki market. The person who made the purses has long retired and they were selling off what was left. I picked up several purses (more than 50 actually- oops) because the craftmanship was incredible (check out my shop if you want to see more!). The pictures don't do it justice. The kitty chopstick rest is not included (although if you really want it let me know)- it's cute and I used it for size. I brought back lots of items from Japan on my last trip (two checked bags each for free x 3 people... it was something) and I have lots more kimonos, kanzashi, obis (I have a couple of orange ones that go great with this kimono!), and purses/bags that I'll be listing as I get to them.
