Japanese Kinchaku Purse Green Kimono Fabric Kyoto Drawstring

This purse is made from kimono fabric and is vintage but unused. The fabric is new also, made from left over fabric from kimono creation. This bag has a drawstring top with a cord and wooden beads on the ends, a traditional Japanese style for wearing with a kimono. It is made with chirimen silk on the outside and it is lined in a burgundy fabric. The bag measures 7.5" x 9.5". I have added a removable matching cord shoulder strap that clips on and a purse charm of a gold tassel with wooden beads. When last in Kyoto a shop was closing not too far from Nishiki market. The person who made the purses has long retired and they were selling off what was left. I picked up several purses (more than 50 actually- oops) because the craftmanship was incredible (check out my shop if you want to see more!). The pictures don't do it justice. I brought back lots of items from Japan on my last trip (two checked bags each for free x 3 people... it was something) and I have lots more kimonos, kanzashi, obis (I have a couple of orange ones that go great with this kimono!), and purses/bags that I'll be listing as I get to them.
