Japanese Kinchaku Purse Burgundy Kimono Fabric Kyoto Drawstring

This purse is made from kimono fabric and is vintage but unused. The fabric is new also, made from left over fabric from kimono creation. This bag has a drawstring top with a doubled cord through loops, a traditional Japanese style for wearing with a kimono. It has a split design with chirimen silk on one side and a woven silk on the other. It is lined in black and has a small slip in pocket inside. The bag measures 11" x 8". I have burgundy kimonos this would go great with, if you are interested. I have added a removable shoulder strap made of coordinating burgundy trim and a handmadepurse charm of a tassel and ceramic floral bead. When last in Kyoto a shop was closing not too far from Nishiki market. The person who made the purses has long retired and they were selling off what was left. I picked up several purses (more than 50 actually- oops) because the craftmanship was incredible (check out my shop if you want to see more!). The pictures don't do it justice. I brought back lots of items from Japan on my last trip (two checked bags each for free x 3 people... it was something) and I have lots more kimonos, kanzashi, obis (I have a couple of orange ones that go great with this kimono!), and purses/bags that I'll be listing as I get to them.
