Shichi-Go-San Boys Kimono Wave Hawk Gold Embroidery

This is in near new condition, fabulously well kept. It would be amazing just hanging as a wall design or framed. It has the family crest on it and ties in the front. The stay stitches are still in place. It has pine trees and waves on the sleeves and sides. It has fabulous embroidered details around the hawk- three rows! It is 13" from under arm to under arm across the back and about 36" long. It is given to a boy for his first visit to a shrine (used as a drape) and then worn for a shrine visit when they are 3, 5 or 7 (usually a big celebration for girls at 7 and I've seen boys more often at 5) at a shrine. I've seen them at Kasuga Taisha in Nara- so cute! I purchased this at Toji Temple in Kyoto. I brought back lots of items from Japan on my last trip (two checked bags each for free x 3 people... it was something) and I have lots more kimonos, kanzashi, obis, and purses/bags that I'llbe listing as I get to them.
