Burgundy Chirimen Silk Women's Kimono from Japan

I really love the color of this kimono. It has a burgundy background with a repeating black pattern and the outside is chirimen silk. The inside is a softer silk and the bottom portion (hakkake) is lined in burgundy. It is about 23" from one underarm to the other in the back and about 62" long. Lots and lots of fabric. :) It is vintage but in excellent condition. It had a tag sewn in to it indicating it was dry cleaned in Kyoto and the name of the family it was cleaned for (I think). This pattern would look great in fall- my favorite season when the maple leaves change and the ginkos are all such a bright yellow! The obi is listed separately. I purchased this in Kyoto at Toji Temple from one of my favorite sellers because he has a good eye for selling kimonos that are in great condition (and he knows what I love and sometimes sets it aside). I often buy kimonos for the fabric and make it into something else but this is just in too good of condition. I brought back lots of items from Japan on my last trip (two checked bags each x 3 people... it was something) and I have lots more kimonos, kanzashi, obis and purses/bags that I'll be listing as I get to them.
